Short Biography:
In January 2017 I started as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in INRIA Grenoble - Rhône-Alpes, in Lyon - La Doua. I am part of the Agora Team of the CITI-lab in INSA de Lyon, where I work closely with Dr. Razvan Stanica and Dr. Marco Fiore (CNR IEIIT). My PostDoc focuses on the anonymization of spatiotemporal mobile data. The main goal is to design algorithms for the anonymization of large datasets of mobile network customer trajectories, implement them in big data processing engines and evaluate them on production databases provided by the network operators. I have completed my Ph.D. in Telematics Engineering at the University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M), in September 2016, having a double affiliation with IMDEA Networks Institute, since November 2012. During my PhD I have been partially supported by an FPU Grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (MECD). Previously, I received my B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus (UCY) in June 2011, having a Scholarship from the Cyprus State Scholarship Foundation. As part of my final year project, I entered the field of Distributed Networks working on the utilization of Content Delivery Networks (CDNs). In October 2011, I joined Institute IMDEA Networks Institute and started working under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Fernández Anta. I completed my M.Sc. in Telematics Engineering from the UC3M by October 2012, with my master thesis on energy efficient fault-tolerant online task scheduling. |

Research Interests:
Main: Online Algorithms, Distributed and Parallel Systems & Networks, Scheduling, Fault-tolerance, Energy Efficiency, Cloud Computing.
New: Anonymization of mobile data, Privacy issues in computer networks.
For my Ph.D. thesis I focused on the performance optimization of online scheduling algorithms in fault-prone systems while being energy efficient. More precisely, I considered both task scheduling in unreliable machines and packet scheduling in unreliable communication networks.
